Gloomhaven scenario flowchart reddit5/1/2023 ![]() ![]() Some folx cycle through the same stages, others may experience these stages in different order, and few remain in specific stages, often the vocal doomers. There are a couple of important things you should remember to do before you begin your mercenary career. The clear indicator players have accepted this stage is the rapid burning of cards left in each hand to generate the last amount of obtainable XP that most thought they were going to have to discard in order to survive the doom stage. You know which one you are.ĥth stage: Relief: The stage following one player announcing "I can finish this in two turns" or the party dropping multiple monsters and realizing this "wasn't as bad as I thought". Lastly, there are those with dawning realization they built their deck completely wrong for this scenario and notice a big difference between what they want to do and what they can do. For other more vocal players they will state very clearly how utterly the party is, let you know they told you so, and shake their heads in the hopeless of the situation. For some it's a thought in the back of a players mind such as "maybe we don't got this" while counting the amount of cards left in their hand. It does what? How many targets? Heals to full health? And I owe it rent?Ĥth stage: Doom: The mixture of scenario, monsters, and party composition this stage for even optimistic players is when all hope seems to leave the room. For others this stage comes swiftly with the draw of a new monster ability card you've never seen before. Often though this comes with the full realization of what the scenario wants you to do coupled with trying to figure out how it wants you to do it. Also, does anyone know what this token on the map is for?ģrd stage: Oh WTF: Sometimes this moment comes sooner then later, such as when you look at the stats and immunities of the elite monsters you are fighting. In which the player often starts at the second stage.Ģnd stage: This isn't so bad: Often associated with the success of the first room and forgetting there's another room, sometimes five more rooms, and an entire scenario objective your party hasn't even started yet. The exception is often with brand new characters, complicated mechanics, and next to no gear. That feeling that your party is ready for anything. 1st stage: Confidence: The feeling that the party "got's this" as it approaches the scenario. ![]()
